Product information "Diamond tester DiamondMate-A Presidium"

Tester for identifying diamonds (with or without setting). The copper tip (dia. 0.5 mm) is heated by the unit and placed straight on the plate of the stone to be tested. The device checks the heat output and hence the thermal conductivity of the stone. If the tested stone is a diamond, the device gives an audible and visual signal. Upon contact of the test tip with metal, an alarm signal sounds to avoid measuring errors.
Powered by AC adaptor or battery (3x AAA). Both not included.
