The T 120 Mixto from Maquijoy is a hand-operated combination roller manufactured in Spain for sheet metal and square wire. Maquijoy has been manufacturing machines and tools for goldsmiths in Zaragoza for over 60 years, having emerged from the long-established company Talleres Tatum. With a roller width of 120 mm and 11 wire grooves, the T 120 Mixto is a versatile roller for the goldsmith’s workshop.

The 55-mm-diameter rollers are divided into a flat section of 57 mm for sheet metal and 11 square wire grooves ranging from 5.5 mm to 1 mm. The finely graduated grooves in the lower section allow for precise reduction of even thin wires. The rollers are made of hardened, dimensionally stable steel with an induction-hardened surface and are precision-ground.

A 4:1 reduction gear significantly reduces the effort required for rolling. The frame is made of cast steel and is neatly machined. The rollers run in maintenance-free bronze slide bearings. The crank is included.

For safe operation, the roller should be securely mounted on a sturdy workbench. For significant reductions in cross-sectional area, it is recommended to anneal the material between individual rolling passes.
