Maquijoy T 120 Chapa Sheet Metal Roller with 4:1 Gear Ratio

The T 120 Chapa from Maquijoy is a hand-operated sheet metal roller manufactured in Spain. Maquijoy has been manufacturing machines and tools for goldsmiths in Zaragoza for over 60 years, having emerged from the long-established company Talleres Tatum. With a roller width of 120 mm, the T 120 is also suitable for rolling wider sheets of metal in goldsmith and repair workshops.

The 55 mm diameter rollers are designed as flat rollers and provide a continuous rolling surface for sheet metal across the entire 120 mm width. They are made of hardened, dimensionally stable steel with an induction-hardened surface and are precision-ground.

A 4:1 reduction gear significantly reduces the effort required for rolling. The frame is made of cast steel and is neatly machined. The rollers run in maintenance-free bronze slide bearings. The crank is included with the unit.

For safe operation, the roller should be securely mounted on a sturdy workbench. For larger reductions in cross-sectional area, it is recommended to anneal the material between individual rolling passes.
