Product information "Durston DRM C100RE Combination Roller"
Durston DRM C100RE Combination Roller with 4:1 Gearbox and Side Extensions
The DRM C100RE from Durston Tools is a compact, hand-operated combination roller from the proven DRM series. The model designation describes the features: “C100” stands for combination rollers with a 100 mm roller width, “R” for the reduction gear, and “E” for the side roller extensions.
The precision-hardened main rollers offer a flat rolling range of 65 mm for sheet metal and pattern rolling, as well as 9 square wire grooves ranging from 7 mm to 1 mm. Sheet metal up to 5.5 mm thick can be rolled, and wire up to 7 mm in diameter.
The side roller extensions come standard with 4 half-round profiles and expand the range of applications, for example, for the production of ring rails. Additional extension rollers with different profiles are available as options.
The self-lubricating 4:1 reduction gear significantly reduces the effort required for rolling. The roll gap is adjusted via a calibrated handwheel on the top. As with all rollers in the DRM series, the frame is made of solid cast iron, and the rollers are induction-hardened to 64 HRC. This ensures high stability and a long service life in professional workshop use.
For safe operation, the roller should be securely mounted on a suitable roller stand or a sturdy workbench. For larger cross-sectional reductions, it is recommended to anneal the material between individual rolling passes.
