Durston DDB 1800 Power Motorized Wire Drawing Bench with Electric Drive

The DDB 1800 Power from Durston Tools is an electrically powered, freestanding wire drawing bench designed for drawing wire in jewelry workshops and manufacturing facilities. It is based on the hand-operated DDB 1800 wire drawing bench and offers the same drawing length of 1,350 mm, supplemented by an electric motor. It is manufactured at the Durston plant in the United Kingdom.

The 0.75 kW motor features continuously variable speed control and operates very quietly. The wire drawing bench can be operated in both forward and reverse directions. This allows the wire to be drawn evenly and with constant tensile force, requiring no physical effort from the user. This protects both the material and the operator, especially when working with larger cross-sections and in mass production.

Power is transmitted via a robust cast-iron gearbox. The controls are located on the operator side. Two emergency stop switches at both ends of the wire drawing bench ensure rapid shutdown from any working position.

The drawing bench processes wire up to 10 mm in diameter. Drawing pliers, drawing bench rings, and drawing dies are available separately.
