Product information "Drawing bench with a drawing length of 1,350 mm and a Durston base frame"
Durston DDB 1800 Twin Speed Wire Drawing Machine with Two Speed Settings
The DDB 1800 Twin Speed from Durston Tools is the largest of the hand-operated, freestanding Durston wire drawing machines. With a drawing length of 1,350 mm, it is designed for goldsmith workshops and manufacturing facilities that regularly draw longer wires. It is manufactured at the Durston factory in the United Kingdom.
What sets it apart is its switchable two-speed drive. In direct drive (1:1), one turn of the crank corresponds to one turn of the draw shaft. This setting is suitable for thinner wires and fast-paced work. For larger cross-sections and high drawing forces, the drive is switched to the 4:1 reduction ratio. The change is made simply by repositioning the crank—no tools required.
The wire drawing bench processes wire up to 10 mm in diameter. With a total length of approximately 1.8 m and a sturdy frame, it stands securely and offers plenty of space for long drawing operations.
Drawing pliers, drawing bench rings, and drawing dies are not included and are available separately.
